Must-Have Vintage Accessories to Brave the Cold

Hi there lovlies!

Today I am going to tackle a sometimes challenging fashion conundrum – dressing fashionable for cold weather. We want to be warm & toasty, but this can lead to Ugg boats & North Faces – not a good look ladies! Instead of resorting to the later, I’m going to give you some easy tips to staying warm & looking fabulous – trust me it can be done…

———————————————————————————————————————————

Get an amazing pair of gloves — In my book colored leather gloves are where it’s at. They are nice & warm, great for driving & can add a really great pop of color to your winter ensemble!

It’s all about the Coat — Having a great coat (or 7) is key! I am wearing a lovely vintage wool coat in these photos. Want to know a secret? I got this coat for around $5 at the thrift store! I know winter coats can be expensive, so if you are on a tight budget – thrifting is a great solution, there are many amazing vintage coats at REALLY great prices

Sunnies — A super easy way to spice up your look is a great pair of shades. I am rocking some vintage cat eyes frames in these photos. Crazy Colorado sun plus a fresh blanket of snow can be pretty blinding so sunglasses are also really necessary for us Denverites.

Wrap something around that neck — Another fashion statement that is practical! If you are feeling adventurous try rocking a pattern. Also a great way to incorporate a funky vintage piece into your ensemble.

Last but definitely NOT least, BOOTS — A great pair of boots is a MUST have! A leather pair is preferable, they can really keep your tootsies toasty. Make sure to have a great flat pair that you can actually walk in, when there is ice on the ground sometimes a heel isn’t .the best option!

Hope that some of these tips will keep you warm & fashionable this season! Till next time…
